Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data NoteFlux collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We keep this simple and transparent.

NoteFlux gives you full control over how your voice is transcribed:

• Local ASR (on-device): Transcription runs entirely on your device. No audio or transcript data leaves your machine.
• Groq cloud model: Audio is sent to Groq's servers for transcription. Groq's own privacy policy governs how they handle this data. NoteFlux does not store your raw audio.

You can switch between options at any time from within the app.

• Account details: Your email address when you sign up. New users start with an anonymous session until they create an account.
• Usage analytics: Anonymous product usage data (via PostHog) such as features used, session duration, and app performance metrics. This is collected on both the website and the desktop app and helps us improve NoteFlux.

NoteFlux does not store, access, or view your transcripts. Transcriptions happen either on your device (local mode) or directly via Groq (cloud mode) — the resulting text is never transmitted to or stored on NoteFlux servers. Your voice and transcription content remain yours.

Features such as filler word removal, summarisation, and text formatting are powered by Groq's LLM. When you use these features, your transcript text is sent to Groq for processing. Groq's privacy policy applies to this data. NoteFlux does not retain the input or output of these operations.

NoteFlux uses Supabase for authentication and user account management, on both the website and desktop app. New users begin with an anonymous session. Account data is created only when you choose to sign up.

We use the following trusted providers to operate NoteFlux:

• Groq: Cloud transcription and AI feature processing.
• PostHog: Anonymous product analytics (website and desktop app).
• Supabase: Authentication and account management.

We do not sell your data. We may share information if required by law.

NoteFlux is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child's data has been shared with us in error, contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy as NoteFlux evolves. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notice. The latest version is always available at this page.
