Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to all agreements between NoteFlux ("NoteFlux," "we," "our," or "us") and you ("you" or "Customer"). You may only use NoteFlux's services if you accept these Terms.

NoteFlux provides software and applications designed to help you convert speech to text, clean transcripts, and improve your writing workflow. Services include:

• Transcription: Voice-to-text using either on-device local ASR models (no data leaves your machine) or Groq cloud models (audio processed via Groq's servers).
• AI Features: Filler word removal, summarisation, and text formatting powered by Groq's LLM. These features send your transcript text to Groq for processing.
• Desktop App: Available for macOS and Windows.

AI-generated outputs may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any transcription or AI output before relying on it. NoteFlux does not guarantee transcription accuracy.

• Account Security: Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us of any unauthorised access.
• Lawful Conduct: Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for the content you transcribe and process using NoteFlux.
• No Misuse: Do not reverse-engineer, hack, spam, or use the service in a way that disrupts others or infringes intellectual property rights. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

You may use NoteFlux anonymously before signing up. Creating an account requires you to be at least 18 years old and provide truthful registration details. NoteFlux is not responsible for losses arising from unauthorised access if you fail to secure your account.

Some features require a paid subscription. You agree to provide accurate billing information and pay all applicable charges. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may be responsible for applicable taxes based on your location.

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. NoteFlux does not store or access your transcripts. When using cloud features, your data is processed by third-party providers (Groq) subject to their own privacy policies.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NoteFlux is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid to NoteFlux in the preceding twelve (12) months, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

We may revise these Terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You may cancel your account at any time via account settings or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if your use poses a risk to the platform. Upon termination, you remain responsible for all fees incurred through the termination date.

These Terms are governed by applicable law. If any provision is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
